Machine Embroidered Layer Cake Quilt (Part 1)--Oct 24 2026
Turn your embroidery machine’s built-in designs into a stunning 36" x 36" mini quilt.
Have you ever looked at the built-in designs on your embroidery machine and wondered what to do with them? It is time to take your machine out of the box and put those gorgeous hidden motifs to work!
In this fun, fast-paced, 4-hour class, you will learn how to effortlessly transform standard 10" Layer Cake fabric squares into a beautiful, professional-looking nine-patch mini quilt—perfect for a statement wall hanging or a precious baby gift.
Bring your embroidery machine with the embroidery unit, hoops, power cord, instruction book, one bobbin wound with embroidery bobbin thread, embroidery thread, machine accessories, and basic sewing notions/supplies. Bring a blank flash drive or bring your laptop if your embroidery machine only accepts design transfer by cable. Students must know how to hoop and operate their embroidery machine. Project supplies are available by email or in the store after class registration with payment.
****Part 2 class on November 14 is to piece blocks, sashings, and borders. After sewing together those quilt components, you will assemble the quilt top, batting, and backing together.****
Pack a lunch and snacks with a drink and discover how fun using your embroidery machine is to make a customized mini/baby quilt!
Class Supply list is available by email or in the store with paid registration.
