Loungers Pajama Pants for Winter (Two Sessions)

This is the ideal class for sewists that want to learn the basics of clothing. A pair of Loungers or formerly known as Pajama Pants is an easy garment to learn basic sewing techniques and pattern fundamentals at the same time. Learn to read a pattern, layout the pattern, pin and cut the fabric, mark the fabric, make an elastic waist casing, sew accurate seam allowances, enclose a hem, utilize your machine’s built-in decorative stitches, and MORE! Prerequisite: Bring your machine, power cord, foot/floor pedal, all-purpose presser foot, one wound/filled bobbin with a spool of thread matching your fabric, a small pair of thread snipping scissors, sharp fabric scissors, pincushion with straight pins, and your instruction book. Must know how to operate and troubleshoot your machine. You must register to receive the fabric yardage requirements for the size you intend to sew.  Your fabric must be washed and dried without any fabric softener. The Lounger pants pattern is provided in class. Fabric for the project may be purchased at Ashby with a 20% discount.
