This is the ideal class for confident sewists that want to learn the basics of clothing and home décor construction. An Artist/Workshop/Chef Apron is one of the quickest and most versatile garments you can sew as you learn sewing techniques and pattern fundamentals. Learn to read a pattern layout, pin and cut the fabric, mark the fabric, make narrow straps, sew accurate seam allowances, enclose a hem, utilize your machine’s built-in decorative stitches, and MORE! Prerequisite: Must know how to operate and troubleshoot your machine. Bring 1 yard of washable 45” fabric with matching thread to construct your apron. Pattern is provided in class. Bring a bagged lunch and a few snacks. Bottled water is available.
